Our Story
Everything starts with Mochi
She is the reason we began reading ingredient labels more carefully, asking questions about sourcing, and paying closer attention to what goes into every bite.
Reading the ingredients on a bag of treats made us look more closely at what we were feeding Mochi. The list included glycerin, “natural flavor,” and a preservative we had to look up. We wanted a simpler option.
Family-owned
Potomac Fur Mama is a family-owned business in Potomac, Maryland. We make single-ingredient treats in small batches.
Our inspiration
Mochi is our chief taste tester. Salmon is a favorite, and she’s always happy to help with that part of the job.

Our mission
We wanted treats with a short ingredient list, so we started making our own with just wild-caught sockeye salmon. We now make them for other dogs and cats, too.
