Feeding Guidelines

How much, how often, and as what

Treats, not a diet

Use these treats as a snack or food topper. They are not a complete and balanced diet. Standard veterinary guidance recommends limiting treats to 10% of your pet’s daily calories. The rest should come from a complete food.

This product is intended for intermittent or supplemental feeding only.

How much by body weight

Suggested daily maximum by body weight
Body weightSuggested daily maximum
Under 10 lb1–2 small pieces
10–25 lb2–3 pieces
25–50 lb3–5 pieces
Over 50 lb5–7 pieces

Pieces vary in size, so these amounts are approximate. The calorie content is 4,359 kcal/kg, or about 124 kcal per ounce. See the guaranteed analysis for more nutritional information.

Cats

Suitable for cats as well as dogs, at all life stages. Cats generally need smaller portions given their size, and many prefer the treat crumbled rather than whole.

As a topper

Crumble a piece over dinner for a fussy eater. Serve it dry, or add a spoonful of warm water to soften the crumbs before serving.

Introducing it

Introduce any new food gradually and keep fresh water available. A single-ingredient treat makes it much easier to know exactly what your companion is reacting to, which is why they are often used alongside elimination diets.

We are not veterinarians. If your companion has a diagnosed condition or is on a prescribed diet, check with yours before introducing anything new.
