About our ingredients
It begins in Alaska
Our sockeye salmon is wild-caught in Bristol Bay, Alaska, home to one of the world’s great wild salmon fisheries. Harvested by fishermen and flash-frozen shortly after leaving the water, it arrives with its natural color, texture and quality preserved.
Why sockeye salmon
Sockeye salmon has a deep red color and firm texture. It is naturally lean and contains omega-3 fatty acids, antioxidants, and amino acids. Its color comes from a diet of krill and plankton.
Why wild-caught matters
Wild sockeye grows in the ocean and returns to freshwater rivers to spawn.
Bristol Bay fisheries are managed to protect future salmon runs.
